Why Hoodia purchased from GNC worked in December, and same bottle purchased online (much cheaper) does not?
Back in December last year I lost 6 pounds and was happy with it. I purchased that bottle at GNC. It was $39.95.
Then I found online www.herballove.com it was $20.99 – I swear it was exactly the same bottle. It does not work any more.
Has anybody ever used herballove.come website? I also buy a Valerian from that store, and it’s good. Valerian really works well on my stress. How come Hoodia does not work “as hard” as it did in December??? May be I have more stress now, and tend to eat more, but Hoodia prescription medicine is supposed to take care of these impulsive cravings, and it doesn’t any more.
All I need is a powerful appetite suppressant. I guess I have to try Hydroxycut now. LOL
Brand is DEX-L10

if you want to lose weight, quickly…i recommend ephedrine…if used properly it is very safe and effective. I lost 12lbs in two weeks, working out 3-4 days a week and staying active.
Did you actually compare the ingrediants on both to make sure they really are exact? If they are, maybe your body has gotten used to it now. Try taking a break from it (if possible) for a few months & then try it again & see if it works then.
They usually don’t put enough Hoodia in these big chain store brands like GNC to do much of anything. Is Dex-l10 the brand you are talking about? There are brands online that contain twice the amount of Hoodia as that brand. You will have the best chance of hoodia suppressing your appetite if you get a strong pure hoodia that is certified to be genuine. Check out Totalink’s unbiased Hoodia comparison at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/hoodia_comparison.html in the “Confidence” column it will indicate if the brand is “Certified”. These Hoodia brands have the credentials to back up their product. Also in that column it will indicate if the brand is “Returnable”. These Hoodia brands allow you to return opened bottles and get your money back. I think this indicates that a company has confidence in their product that it works.
You mentioned Hydroxycut, the main ingredient in that product is Green Tea. There are products that contain both Hoodia and Green tea, you can check out a comparison at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/hoodiaherb.html
You might also consider getting a product that mixes Hoodia with Cha de Bugre. Cha de Bugre is a new weight loss supplement that is growing in popularity and is similar to Ma Huang (Ephedrine) without any of the bad effects. Cha de Bugre is from Brazil and has been used there safely for centuries. Cha de Bugre provides energy, fat burning and appetite suppression that benefit weight loss. Cha de Bugre also has additional uses that are known in Brazil that include being used as a mild diuretic, a cellulite reducer, aides in reducing herpes simplex outbreaks and a heart tonic. You can find more about it at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/cha_de_bugre.html
There are many factors involved in finding the best Hoodia, I have written articles on a lot of them. Just search Yahoo or Google under my name “Andrew Aitaken” to find them.
Remember, you should always consult your physician before taking any diet pill or weight loss supplements
Aries:
I agree with what Andrew said in his answer to you about those big chain stores selling products that contain very little, if any, hoodia gordonii. I see that you have specified that Hoodia Dex L10 is the brand you purchased. While it is one of the most popular hoodia brands, it’s not the most effective – as you’ve experienced.
I’m not a big fan of Hoodia Dex L10 and wrote a detailed review of it. If you’re interested, you can read it below (I provided a link to it below). You’ll notice in the review that Hoodia Dex L10 actually failed an independent lab test for authenticity.
I’m not sure why Dex L10 Hoodia worked for you the first time around. I suspect you may have been experiencing a placebo effect. And as you mentioned, the increased stress in your life at this time may be over powering any minor effect this product has. It’s hard to say why it worked and why it doesn’t now.
Andrew recommends a number of appetite suppressants, but I’m not so sure I’d recommend the same brands or supplements. If all you want is simple appetite suppression, plain old authentic hoodia is going to be your safest and most effective route. There are only three brands of hoodia I recommend because I know they contain 100% authentic hoodia gordonii. They are Desert Burn, Hoodoba, and Hoodia Hoodia. If you’re interested in learning more about those brands, I’ve provided a link below to detailed reviews of each.
Best of luck to you.
